Learning at St. Xavier’s is a blend of academic rigor and balanced life experiences. Our counselling services ensure that students always have the behavioural, emotional and social support they need. The Wise Skills Curriculum in Elementary School, Strategies for Success in Middle School, and Academic Guidance in High School help students prepare for life beyond our walls. These programs enable students to:

  • Adapt to an international, multicultural environment

  • Develop coping strategies to handle different challenges and situations

  • Perceive and understand universal values

  • Prepare to be global citizens

COUNSELLING AT A GLANCE

Counselling at St. Xavier’s takes place through individual and group sessions, based on individual needs.
Teachers are supported with strategies to enhance a positive, disciplined learning environment in the classroom.

  • “Coffee with the Counsellor” is a platform for parents to come together and, through discussion, realize the common challenges in parenting as well as different ways of facing them.

  • An organized Buddy System with the help of MAD Group (Make A Difference) is in place to help new students who join at different times of the academic year.

  • Ultimately, it is the joint effort of our teachers, students, parents and administration, along with the School Counsellor, that makes this an effective service.

  • Understanding their world inside & outside class.

  • Our approach is a loving one.
